Colleagues from major Peterborough employer, BGL Insurance (BGLi), have successfully donated over 100 coats and jumpers during December 2022 and early January to support its ‘Donate a Coat’ charity drive. The drive forms part of a wider initiative from Markerstudy Group, BGLi’s parent company, which saw colleagues work together across the UK to donate hundreds of coats to local charities across its UK locations BGLi’s offices in Peterborough and Sunderland.

The ‘Donate a Coat’ drive forms part of the Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) agenda, with a key focus on going the extra mile for the charities, causes and people in the communities in which we live and work. All donations for Peterborough have been delivered to the Salvation Army to support people in desperate need of warm clothing during the winter months.

Emily Taylor, CSR Manager at BGL Insurance, said: “Supporting our local communities and the charities we are most passionate about has always been in our DNA.  We are thrilled to see so many of our colleagues getting involved and more importantly, helping to make a difference in our local area at such a tough time!”
